New Art Project

Lady Simone

Ingenue Update

Hello, my fellow artists. I have just posted a new image to my website. This lovely lady is known as Lady Simone, a companion to Lady Monet (the first in my Ingenue © series). You are probably wondering why I have chosen to give these ladies the title of "Lady" before their first names. That is a subtle reflection of their aristocratic elegance. Judging them by their appearances, though, you would consider them very casual noblewomen. Ingenue are intended to reflect the beauty and inner strength of young ladies.

Simone is the representation of hidden ferocity. As her profile suggests on my website, she "has the eyes of an angel and the strength of a tiger". In truth, I have not yet decided which ethnicity she belongs to yet. My mother commented that she appeared mixed African American/Asian, while I commented that she appeared Columbian. Do you have any suggestions?

I will be producing more Ingenue soon, so be sure to follow my posts on +Alexandra Harenberg and @4EverMonet on Twitter. I will be setting up a Facebook account soon, so I will be able to network much better than before.

Here is a teaser of what is to come...

(Left to Right) Lady Gina, Lady Eve, and Lady Monica

Hope you enjoy these lovely ladies as much as I enjoy drawing them! If you have any suggestions, please email me or drop me a line on Twitter or Google +.  Happy Drawing!

Tuesday, March 1, 2016

Hello, everyone! I would like to take the time to introduce myself in this first post on my brand new blog. My name is Alexandra Harenberg. I am a freelance character designer and concept artist who is driven by a passion for traditional animation, vivid storytelling, and social networking. At this time, I am building my portfolio entitled "My Wildest Dreams" (which you will also notice is the name of this blog, too!) and it looks absolutely amazing so far! Once it looks really nice, I plan to branch out as an entrepreneur and turn it into my personal art business.

You can view here: My Wildest Dreams. However, this blog and the portfolio will go hand in hand. I plan to place a link to this Blogger platform in the header of my website very soon. You can also view my resume and full profile on my portfolio as well. As is typical with Blogger, all the rest of my information is on Google +, for you to enjoy!

So, you might be asking yourself... What is this blog about?

It's about everything to do with art. Recently, I started writing about Disney's Golden Age Classics like The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and the various characters that make this magnificent universe come to life. This inspired me to work on blogger (apart from the fact that good experience is needed if you want to work in social media marketing or animation like me). Thus, I created a version of my site where I discuss my plans for art, talk about art-related concepts, and chat with people about what inspires them the most. Anything in your wildest dreams, you name it. I've got it.

I hope you enjoy what I have to offer, everyone! And I am so excited to start blogging! Thank you so much!

Cheers,
Alexandra H.
